A Quick Question (IPTV, Multicasting, Etc)
So, as support for the HD Home run is being added, I have to ask a related question... What about IPTV?
I have some international channels coming accross my college's network to my machine over I2 and I'd like to be able to record them. So, is there any possibility that Sage will support multicasting? I don't know entirely too much about IPTV and multicasting. However, after talking to the System Admins on campus here, it seems that if the HD homerun is being added, it wouldn't be too difficult to add IPTV. They themselves were thinking of writing it in for mythtv, but I'm not much a fan of mythtv (I run a dualtv). Anything that could shed some light on this would be vastly helpful, I'm sick of opening vlc to do this, and beyond that, I can't record with vlc. |

You can also view it while saving if you want. If you feed adventurous, you might be able to write some code that leverages VLC to use as a network encoder for Sage (an external app that records from sources that Sage itself does not support).

I should have known I was wrong about something... However, it is unfortunate that I know absolutely nothing about writing code.
This is the point in the conversation when I ask someone else to do it. Pretty Please? |
