SageTV time zone wrong. How to fix?

Hi, new to SageTV. The time & EPG data are both off 2 hours. My computer's time zone & time are correct (Central time). Upon setup, United States was selected but Sage system info shows the time zone as GFST French Guiana time. How do I fix?...Thanks

Don't know if I'll be much help, but you might want to start by posting your system information, under the setup section. Maybe fill in any configuration details not included in the list.

btw, welcome to SageTV!

There might be other ways, but you can set the timezone in Sage from the Configuration Wizard under the Setup menu.

I went thru the configuration wizard but didn't see any place to set or reset the time zone.

Looking at the .stv file, it seems that the timezone isn't (or doesn't need) set from the GUI for Windows and Mac but is for Linux.

Code:
REM: Skip Time Zone Setup for Windows and Mac
I would think the timezone setting for the computer itself should be good enough and that SageTV just uses that system time.

Try looking in the sage.properties file for an entry called "time_zone".

Appendix A in the manual says what it does:

Code:
time_zone
can be used to force a time zone setting; set to the ID for your TimeZone, either an
abbreviation such as "PST", a full name such as "America/Los_Angeles", or a custom ID
such as "GMT-8:00", without quotes.

SageTV must take it from somewhere else because my Windows 10 laptop is definitely set correctly to Central time.

Problem solved! Thank You! I'm a complete novice, but after messing with time zone formats, America\Chicago worked.

There's an option to sync with an epg server. May want to make sure it's disabled.
Setup>Detailed Setup>General>Sync System Clock with EPG server

It might help if you provide your system config:

Setup>System Information ctrl-I will create an updated systeminfo.txt in your sageTV folder.
