Warning! Windows 10 1803 kills Colossus dead

Just updated Windows 10 to 1803 and both my Colossus cards became invisible to STV.

Device Manager still sees them, claims the drivers are up-to-date and functioning normally, STV says no configured video capture device and non is on the list of available devices.

I had to revert to previous version of Win 10.

Just a word of caution...

Cheers
Frank

Have you seen this... http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/support/support.html

It's not limited to Colossus. There have been several postings here about other video capture devices that are affected.

Welcome to the insanity called Win10.

No, I haven't seen that. Thanks.

However, I am reluctant to experiment with it now. I'll probably just wait for the next built.

Cheers

These settings in update are related to gdpr. If you update your privacy settings you should be able to get things working again. I am using ota only so don't know how changes affect cable setups. I cut the cable cord a few years ago after the constant games by cable provider resetting stb & causing me to constantly have to re setup configuration.
