Sleeping SageTv kills irremote?

I have the Hauppauge silver remote. Every time I use the green power button to sleep SageTV, and then again to wake it up, irremote seems to be disabled thereafter.

I usually just shut irremote down and re-launch it, but it is annoying.

Any idea that is going on?

Thanks,

For starters, see this FAQ entry: How can I use the Hauppauge remote to wake SageTV after using it to put SageTV to sleep?

Or: If you are already using a customized irremote.ini, which one are you using & does SageTV go to sleep in full-screen screen-saver mode or as an icon in the system tray?

I am using a customized irremote.ini file, but I downloaded it so long ago, I really couldn't say which one it is. Is there a way to tell by examining the contents?

I don't know about full screen. On my TV screen, it is full-screen (with the shifting SAGEtv logo). On the computer screen, this is just in the SageTV window itself.

The shifting logo means it is in screen saver mode. If you downloaded one of the ini files I uploaded, or one of the similar ones from the forum, and you don't use the remote for any other apps, then go to the [SageTV] section in the ini file and remove the {mode(Default)} command after ctrl+z on the green power line. The remote will then stay in SageTV mode and should work. You may also need to remove the {mode(SageTV)} command in the [Default] section after SageTV.exe is run.

Thanks, I believe it was one of the irrremote.ini files you uploaded (but like I said, it was a while ago). I will make the change you suggest and report back.

REPORTING BACK: Thanks Opus4. That took care of the problem!!!
