Colossus dead?

I have two Colossus (Colossi?) cards. Once disappeared a few months ago, but we are apparently watching less TV so I never took the time to deal with it. The other one is now gone. They both showed up with "unable to start" errors in dev mgr. I uninstalled both and rescanned for hardware, nothing was detected. The Colossus encoder is still there however.

How can I determine whether these are dead? No desire to sink more money into hauppauge products, but they are my only choice for Time Warner

Best thing that comes to mind is to pull them and pop them into another computer.

popped them both in another pc and they worked right away, but when I put them back into the sage box, they still weren't recognized. I wiped all the old drivers off of the sage box and reinstalled with a fresh download. all good now. Thanks!
