Link Infrared/Keystroke to SageTV Command

I'm looking for some guidance on linking additional IR codes to SageTV commands. I mainly use HD300 extenders in my setup. I see there is a way to "Link Infrared/Keystroke to SageTV Command" in the standalone menus on an HD300, along with a similar option within the Setup portion on the SageTV software, displayed on the extender. If possible, I would like the new IR codes to be available globally within my setup, so that all of my HD300s would recognize that code. If I use the "Link Infrared/Keystroke to SageTV Command" within the SageTV software on my HD300 (not from the standalone menu), will the changes affect all of my extenders, or will I need to make the same changes on each HD300?
