Separate headers for 1st run and reruns?

Is there a way to have a separate heading or grouping for the same TV show, but one for First runs, one for reruns? So for example in your 'All Recordings' list you'll have:

American Ninja Warrior
The Blacklist
COPS - 1st Run
COPS - Reruns
Deadliest Catch

Or the like...?

Any way to do this?

Thanks for any input!

Hmm, I don't believe there is a built in way to do what you want. However, what are you trying to accomplish with this? Perhaps there is another solution.

You could create separate views, then filter them to show only the recordings you want. They wouldn't all be listed on-screen at the same time, but you can use FF2/REW2 to quickly switch views -- p. 41 of the v7 PDF manual.

Beyond that, you would need to see if any custom UIs can do what you want.

Thanks Guys, what I'm specifically trying to accomplish is exactly what I described. And specific to COPS, so the filter/views option may work, just a matter of easily seeing the one or two 1st runs among the thousands of reruns (I think the show is on at least ONE channel at any given moment throughout the world!) that get recorded.

I'll look at the info on views and filters and see what I can come up with.
Thanks again!

you could always have it in 1 folder and sort by Original Air Date.
That should group the most recent "First Runs" (whether marked by EPG data as First Run or not) together.

Or if you use Gemstone, have Season views.

I asked because I wasn't sure if there was a specific reason for splitting the two recordings.

This is exactly what I do in my views. I also have a specific view just for me that filters my shows and excludes items I already watched, so it is like a "to do" list of shows I like to watch.

Sorry, but aren't all Cops episodes "repeats". Seems to me it is just some dude wearing a "wife-beater" T-shiit trying to evade the out of breath, out of shape cops chasing him. Just Kidding!
