New Install

Hi, I have unraid running with opendct and sagetv installed.
I am trying to start SageTV and use web ui and get message that "cant reach this page http://192.168.0.15:8080.

I did some searching and saw comments about "is jetty webserver set to 8080 and other talking of changing ports, but I do not know how to do this in this setup.
Thanks for any and all help

To get the web page, make sure you've installed the web plugin(s) of your choice. The pages will show up at the standard spot - //tower:8080 (if you kept the standard unRaid name.

To start the actual server instance, go to the Docker tab and look for the SageTV icon associated with the stuckless container. Click on it an you should see a start option (If you see a green play icon, then it's already going).

Sorry for the "obvious" question - Can you break this instruction down for me? I do not see how to get to where I can install any plugins/etc. Sage appears started and is green
Thanks,

No worries. Sometimes it can be a little hard to determine the experience level when responding to a question.

Are you able to to use SageTV (via client, placeshifter or extender)?

You should see a selection of choices available ranging from TV all the way down to SETUP (or in some layouts is may be EXIT). If you select the SETUP option, then there will be a range of selections. Choose the SAGETV PLUGINS option. It will give you the option for INSTALLED PLUGINS or ALL AVAILABLE PLUGINS. Select the ALL AVAILABLE PLUGINS and look for SAGETV WEB INTERFACE (there are many other web interfaces for tools that help Sage and provide access for mobile devices, but this is the most popular one).

When you select the SAGETV WEB INTERFACE plugin there will be an option to install. Select the installation option and follow the instructions. Once the install is successful then you will be able to access the web interface at //tower:8080/sage/Home (if you kept tower as the default unRaid name). Be sure to capitalize "Home". You will be prompted for an ID and password which will be "sage" and "frey".

I appreciate the help. Here is where I am so far.

My WHS 2003 drive failed and I replaced it with a new drive and went the unRaid route. So unraid is booted on my PC through the USB thumb drive. I loaded opendct and sagetv and all seemed to go well there. I am using another PC on my network to log into unraid and that works fine.

What I do not see is any instance of SageTV. Maybe I was expecting it to come up on my remote PC and that is why I am totally lost. I do have an extender and will boot up on the TV and see if it starts. Assuming it does then I know how to go to settings and load plug-ins.
Again, I used to remote in to WHS 2003 and saw the SageTV interface on the PC and that is what I was expecting at start up.
Thanks again!

Update: - rebooted unraid and now extender found it - not sure why using the extender was not obvious to get plug-in going. Thinking it was because I was used to WHS2003 remote and expected Sage to be on remote PC
Thanks!

I'm glad that you got it working.

Another useful tool is the Placeshifter client. It works well in the V9 world. You can find the latest in this post:https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/sho...25&postcount=1

You can install the Placeshifter on any and all PCs on your LAN, and the same with the SageTV client software.

OK - I have a HDHR and a Prime HDHR. The HDHR is working and I can tune channels while the Prime I cannot (no signal) I stopped Sage and OpenDCT, updated firmware, restarted array, stopped Sage docker, restarted OpenDCT, restarted Sage docker and still no luck.

What should I look for? Both Sage and OpenDCT dockers are green and running. I did load Open DCT 1st on install before Sage docker too as I read.

Log file

Removed long log file

Both HDHR and Prime are now working. I did several things so not sure which one helped.
I removed both tuners from Sage.
Added delay of "5" to Sage in Autostart manager
Rebooted tuners
rebooted unRaid
added tuners back in
working

Awesome! - thanks for all the help!

Thanks,

I'm not going to be able to help much in diagnosing a DCT problem. My experience is new with this but very positive. I would suggest asking overvin thevOpenDCT thread. However before you do, it would be a good idea to verify the Primevis working with its native app. Try the HDHR Setup to verify operational.

New question regarding docker image file - I did not update the default size before loading SageTV and OpenDCT. I watched a video and it looks like I can increase the size by stopping the docker service and then updating. What is the best way to do this on a running system?
Stop array
Stop docker service
Modify size
restart array
?
Is this the way or other suggestion?
Thanks,

Another question would be to hear how others are backing up their USB stick. I read of the backup plugin, but also looks like it stops the dockers and would love to hear how all are managing this.
Thanks,

im using the CA Backuo for USB and appdata backup. I used all default except chose to back up to user share. I believe it stops the docker at 3am. I've never had a problem with it.

Thanks,
I went to set that up last night but that also scared me - it even looked like it stopped the dockers once I set up the Backup options.
