unRAID won't recognize HVR-2250

Is there a trick to getting an HVR-2250 to be recognized by unRAID? I'm setting up a test unRAID server, and have the SageTV docker working fine. However, when I take the next step and install the HVR-2250, neither SageTV nor unRAID seem to recognize it. I've tried two different HVR-2250s, with the same results. Any suggestions?

I had to stop using my HVR-2250 since unRAID never recognized it. It had no issues with my colossus cards though. Not sure if it was a motherboard issue or an unRAID issue. I ended up getting an HDHR and it's been great. Frees up pcie slots for my 4 colossus cards and two SAS cards.

Looks like the answer may lie in the unRAID DVB plugin. Don't be fooled by the name, this plugin also can benefit those of us in the US. I stopped the SageTV docker, installed the DVB plugin, rebooted unRAID, restarted the SageTV docker, and was able to find the HVR-2250 and tune channels. I still have a lot more experimentation to do, but I am hopeful that this will work.

I'll post a follow-up after I've played around with it more.

So I've gotten my HVR-2250 mostly working in unRAID 6.3.2 by installing the LibreELEC 6.3.2 DVB unRAID build. Once I did that, the following video sources became available:
  • Hauppauge WinTV-HVR2250 PCI:0000:02:00:0
  • Digital Samsung S5H1411 QAM/8VSB Frontend 0000:02:00.0
  • Digital Samsung S5H1411 QAM/8VSB Frontend 0000:02:00.0 #2
The Hauppauge source is analog, the Samsung sources are digital. I'm not sure what happened to the second analog source, but since I only have one analog channel (and I rarely ever watch it), I'm not going to spend any time chasing it down.

Sure wish that build worked with my colossus cards...
