Export Channel Mappings

Is there a way to export channel mappings from one lineup to another? I need to move the lineup used by my HVR2250 to Schedules Direct and I have a LOT of channel mappings in the existing lineup.

Does the "Import/Export Channel Lineup" by 49studebaker meet your requirements? Never used it myself.

Desc:
"... This plugin can also be used to export "enabled" channels on a lineup..."

I didn't think that handled mappings but I'll check it out again.

True I don't remember reading that but I hope it works correctly for you.

I installed the plugin, but can't seem to do any exports. I click the button for exporting, and nothing happens.

Check the sagetv/sagetv and you will see a (tuner name).export file.
To do the import, change the extension to import, disable all channels then do the import

Nope. Nothing there.

Edit: After I enabled a previously-disabled channel on a source, the export file generated. No clue why that would make the difference.

It worked for me. I had several thousand custom defined channels for my free-to-air (FTA) satellite dishes, and some were connected to EPGs using the old, licensed EPG service. Without this plug-in I would have destroyed all of those channel mappings and Channel IDs when I selected a new Schedules Direct line-up, which would be a dummy line-up because it would have nothing I was interested in.

What I did: (1) exported my FTA channels with the plug-in, (2) told Schedules Direct I wanted to replace the FTA line-up with the OTA Juneau line-up because it only has a handful of channels, (3) disabled all of the Juneau channels, (4) imported my FTA channels back in. It took and looks like the EPG is populating from Schedules Direct. Thanks for the hint, it saved me days!
