SageTCPServer can restart the extenders on reboot so perhaps the best way to do this would be to use that. The issue is that it can cause problems if you have used more than 10 miniclients which isn't hard to do when playing around with running SageTV Placeshifter on several different PCs.
The issue is that I believe that SageTCPServer is now dormant as Fonceur is no longer around. I will contact him.

I think a light-weight, single purpose plugin would be best for this. It could actually look in the clients folder and attempt to wake up all configured miniclients.

Yes, I agree but you may want to option of specifying which ones to power on. I would envision a UI like this:

is /opt/sagetv/ the same as /appdata/sagetv? I am guessing that the former is the docker path and the latter is the unRAID server path. Within the server folder there is a script called startsage. If I add a line in that script to call a script to power on my extenders will that work? Would that line get nuked when the SageTV version is updated?
