SageTCPServer can restart the extenders on reboot so perhaps the best way to do this would be to use that. The issue is that it can cause problems if you have used more than 10 miniclients which isn't hard to do when playing around with running SageTV Placeshifter on several different PCs.

The issue is that I believe that SageTCPServer is now dormant as Fonceur is no longer around. I will contact him.

I think a light-weight, single purpose plugin would be best for this. It could actually look in the clients folder and attempt to wake up all configured miniclients.

Yes, I agree but you may want to option of specifying which ones to power on. I would envision a UI like this:

Code:
Client Name MAC IP Auto-PowerOn?
Kitchen 00:0A:01:02:EA 192.168.1.50 yes
The names are likely already stored in the extender.properties or other file. You likely want to omit miniclients that are not extenders, you could probably figure that out automatically as the extender MACs would be within a known range. Not sure about Android clients, however.

This is a 4 year necropost so I don't know if anyone is still around to answer the questions, but here goes:
is /opt/sagetv/ the same as /appdata/sagetv? I am guessing that the former is the docker path and the latter is the unRAID server path.

Within the server folder there is a script called startsage. If I add a line in that script to call a script to power on my extenders will that work? Would that line get nuked when the SageTV version is updated?
