Setup questions

So I am at the Add Container stage. Is there in any point in putting in a SageTV license Key?

My system has 8GB of memory, what can I use for JVM? The default is 768MB but the main motivation to go to docker for me is large JVM so my system won't crash when four extenders are turned on. I am going to try 2048 - any downside to that?

The license key is only useful for SageTV EPG which as you know is going away. So (in my opinion anyway) it is no longer useful.

In the latest v9 for Windows, I changed the heap size from 0 to 2048 (by doing regedit find for "JVMMaxHeapSizeMB") and the service would not start. Changed it back to 0 and it started with no issue.

Correct because SageTV for Windows is still 32 bit and the maximum stable JVM is about 1024. In my Linux Docker I have 4GB defined.

So what is your record for simultaneous client connections? We should have a contest on this.

I don't have many clients to connect so you would easily with this one. I regularly only have 2 extenders and when checking from my laptop 1 placeshifter. So no where near the numbers you have. I have that much defined because I have lots of memory for VMs and I didn't want to limit SageTV when I didn't need to. 4GB seemed like a good number when my SystemInfo shows this: JVM Heap Size: 854MB/1093MB/3818MB on one Docker SageTV and 881MB/891MB/3818MB on another.
