The next release of P3 will have a new STV included called 'PhoenixLite'.
This is a 'browser only' version of Phoenix - so it's as stripped down as it comes. Works very well in the Android ecosystem, although I've started using it on my HD300 also. Initially it's just has the Grid view from P3. I might add a list eventually. But the 'menu' is just a list of views that you can browse - once you select one the grid is populated with that view. For instance, the 3rd picture here is the 'Currently Airing' view in Phoenix. It has taken the place of the Guide for me - the occasions where I need 'live' TV are pretty few and far between.

I don't want to toot my own horn here - but PhoenixLite as I'm calling it, as pictured above, is far and away the best Sage experience I've ever had. I like it better than all the Phoenix versions that have come prior.
It does share a lot visually with P3 - however it's slimmed down a bit. Once it gets into the plugin system (it's uploaded, just waiting on some magic from stuckless) I or he will post here and you should give it a try. I think you'll like it. btl.

I have a suspicion that the file didn't make it into the plugin.
I'll see what is going on this afternoon.

This looks like it would be nice on a tablet. Have you thought about touch features e.g. long press brings up Info/Delete/Record/etc. options, swipe to move between items in a group? Something like long presses could also be nice for stripped-down remotes.
Could the guide be sorted by channel number/name? I've spent some time giving my channels logical names to group similar ones together e.g. SPORTS-xxx, NEWS-xxx. After I reverted back to the stock UI pressing Home brought the Lite UI back. I even loaded the regular Phoenix 3 UI, then selected revert to stock UI and Home still took me to the Lite UI. I had to uninstall Phoenix to get the Home button working as expected...

Ok. This looks like a great UI for me. I'll have to try this tonight.

HD300 Support?
Does Phoenix 3 support the HD300?
On both my HD300s when I select the Phoenix3 or PhoenixLite xml file I get a garbled screen. And a message saying 'There are no items defined in this view'. This persists with a reboot of the HD300. This is a brand new docker install with no other plugins but Phoenix. The phoenix log shows multiple exception for 'Failed to update weather.' Quote:

Is Phoenix 3 open source? I was going to open an issue and take a shot a PR to see if I could resolve it - but couldn't find the project on GitHub.

Got a few updates ready for Phoenix Lite - added in the list view as an option.

For home videos I have metadata in the file (Media created) as well as a folder structure (2005, 2005/SomeGroup, 2006, etc.) It looks like the current view looks at the file creation date/time, which for me is not accurate, (I only get 2015/2016 folders which is when I finally got around to dumping all the videos from tape). I played around with editing the menu XML to use videofolders and sort of got it working, (need to figure out how to exclude non-home videos), but thinking this stuff would get overwritten on updates (?). Is this a view that can be added as an option or how can I customize the views / menu in a way that won't have to be re-done?
