Android MiniClient 1.0.7 - released

This release just adds support for "numpad_enter" which is used by the harmony remotes (apparently).

I've also updated the 3rd party libraries for IJKPlayer, ExoPlayer, and LibGDX.

While this release ships with ExoPlayer 1.5.11, I noticed there is an ExoPlayer 2.0 release as well. 2.0 is not a drop in replacement, but I'll be integrating it and in the next release I'll ship with ExoPlayer 2.0. ExoPlayer 2.0 has support for using ffmpeg as an audio decoder, which means that for that those people that don't use audio pass-through, you can still get audio. The main reason i haven't poured much effort into ExoPlayer is that it requires hardware audio decoders or audio-passthrough, and my setup doesn't use audio pass through... but now, I should be able to get ExoPlayer working, even in my setup with the ffmpeg audio decoder. The good news as well is that the 2.0 release of ExoPlayer is even easier to setup than the 1.x version... So I might do a release with 2.0 ExoPlayer and then another release with the ffmpeg support (adding the ffmpeg support is fair bit more effort, but, at least it supports it)

I have a good number of shows that won't playback... The time moves but it's just a black screen. They are all mpeg2 ts h.264. But so are the ones working

Edit... Setting no animation and streaming mode pull fixed it

Looks like that is not correct... I'll try to update that over the weekend.

Any update on the 1.0.7 version? I also only see the 1.0.6 version in the 1.0.7 directory. Would love to try the new versions of the players to see if it fixes some of the no video with audio/no audio video playback issues

Sorry, I thought I had posted a response here... I tried to upload the 1.0.7 version but I had already removed the package locally, and I already started the process of upgrading to ExoPlayer 2.0, so, I wasn't able to easily build it again.

I'm going to do more testing on ExoPlayer this weekend, and I'll see about pushing out a 1.0.8 version that has the newer ExoPlayer 2.x.

So, I've created a 1.0.8 package that includes the new ExoPlayer 2.x implementation. I'm not pushing this out the play store just yet, since, I there is still some tweaking that I'd like to do on the ExoPlayer front (ie, see if I can get the ffmpeg extension working).

I'm still having some trouble playing recordings in ExoPlayer (MPEG-2 OTA). I have uploaded some samples if you are inclined to take a look: https://1drv.ms/f/s!ApjZ0ZY44Zt6abxSV4J2GsruU1U

The first one used to give me a playback error, but now with ExoPlayer 2.0 just shows a static image while the timeline grows like playback is normal. The second one plays in a strange "fast forward" fashion. The samples are 2-minute cuts from the original recordings and play fine on my PC but unfortunately just are a blank screen when I try to play them on my Shield so I don't know if they will tell you anything.

I tried the new 1.0.8 package on my FireTV and it plays the Mp4 and Hauppauge Colossus recordings perfectly. (Even Live) But...the HDHR (MPEG-2 OTA) still have problems.

All these files will playback fine in Kodi 16.1 on the same hardware so definitely not the hardware. Would love to get this working on the FireTV if possible.
