Recording Multiple Shows with the Same ID?

Is there a way to record more than one airing of a show with the same ID?

My specific situations is going on right now, where the Tour de France airs right away in the morning with an unidentified show (usually 4 hours), then in the evening during prime-time (7 or 8pm), they have a little shorter show with additional interviews and educational segments, and it is usually about 3 hours.

Only problem, even though they are different versions of the same show, they both have the same show ID so Sage just ignores the prime time show if it already had the morning show recorded.

I didn't see anything in the favorite additional options, and the only way I seem to be able to do it now, is to manually add both the morning and evening shows as manual recordings. As adding the evening show as the manual recording causes the favorite to remove the morning show.

I'm in the exact same boat and I haven't found a good solution either. I setup the Favorite then decide on which airing I want to watch (the one later on in the day is edited to be shorter) and then set it as a manual.

Have you tried creating 2 favorites and restricting them to different times of day?

That won't affect anything. It Will still see that that id had already been recorded. The only way to do this is manual records.
