New Windows 10 computer - Client has no TV and cannot play video

Just bought a new Windows 10 Pro computer. Installed SageTV 9 Client. When loading program, it finds the server (which is running SageTV 9 Server). When the program loads, video test fails and shows no video. Also, I have no TV section. What am I doing wrong?

Do I need codecs for Windows 10?

Why is Client not connecting properly to Sagetv 9 server?

Update: after restart, Sagetv is now showing TV. But I still do not have playback. One problem fixed.

Installing LAV Filters should get you running. Not sure what other options there are. I just found mention of LAV here when trying to get the client running on W10.

Windows 10 doesn't include any MPEG-2 decoders, and neither does the SageTV v9 install (both for licensing reasons). You can install LAV decoders, or ffdshow, or any other directshow mpeg-2 filter, and you'll be up and running.

Install the 32 bit filters if you want sage tv to detect them as I had problems with it finding the 64 bit filters

yes, a 32-bit program cannot use 64-bit directshow filters.

Thank you everyone. I installed lav filter. Initially, I installed everything, but I think having the 64bit version on my computer prevented it from every working. So I uninstalled and reinstalled the 32 bit.

I am also attaching a screen shot of the settings I used. These seem to work. Hope it helps for others.

The only issue I had was yesterday it did SageTV client did not want to connect. Today it appears to be working. I have autoconnect turned off, but Sage would load without TV. I am not sure if it was the server that was acting up (but all the HDX00 were working, but this client was not. I am not sure if Avast was learning the ports that needed to be open but it is working today.
