SageTV client v9 and closed captions

All,

Recently upgraded from v7 to v9 on Windows. Recording and extenders are working fine, but I am having trouble using closed captions on the v9 Windows 10 clients (despite working on the extenders).

I also upgraded the client from v7 to v9, so I can still see and use the SageTV MPEG Video and Audio decoder. Playback works fine, but subtitles are not displayed when I select 'CC1'.

Another threat mentioned needing to re-register components for server playback of subtitles when upgrading from v7 to v9. Is there potentially something that needs to be done on the client as well, that maybe isn't getting done automagically by the installer?

All,

Wanted to ping everyone again and see if there is a solution to this. I am using the SageTV decoder and have enabled DXVA per the post here (https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50046) but still no closed captions are visible even when I select 'CC1'. Playback of the same file with the HD300 shows captions without problems -- so it isn't the server or the recording.

the ATI decoder works great in SageTV9 on Windows10--unless you are viewing H.264 video. I haven't found anything that works for this.
