Network Encoder Channel Scanning
As I understand, when SageTV does a channel scan on an Digital TV Tuner network encoder, it's sending out the channels (that correspond to frequencies) that it would like the encoder to tune and the reply is supposed to be the sub-channels available on the channel delimited by semicolons. This probably works fine in almost all cases except a digital cable tuner.
The problem I'm running into is that SageTV re-maps identical channels within the DCT lineup, but it doesn't always do it in a logical way. For example, channel 50 is mapped to 1500. That means that if I return channel 50 as a channel that's tunable, instead of channel 50 being enabled, I end up with a manually added channel 50 right next to the channel 50 mapped to 1500.
Are these mappings being done by SageTV automatically or is this something we are getting from the EPG provider? In other words, can this be fixed to favor lower channel numbers similar to devices like the HDHomeRun Prime?
