Jerky playback of file in SageTV of 25 fps PAL file

I am getting somewhat jerky playback of a video file in SageTV - and I have seen this before with this type of file. The file was encoded from PAL - UK TV and it has a framerate of 25fps. Playback looks smooth in other video players like MPC-HC and VLC.

Is this a known issue with Sage. Is there any adjustment I can make to improve playback?
