Complete migration between servers
I currently run SageTV 7 as a VM in XenServer. I'm wanting to move it to Nutanix, and it turns out some of the stuff Xen installs is going to cause me a lot of grief. So, I'm looking at rebuilding it in another SageTV7 install for now. I've been playing with the OS stuff, but I'm not ready to make the jump yet.
If I'm installing into a Win7 instance, what do I need to copy over from the existing instance? I can have both running at the same time. I'm also thinking I'll need to install all the plugins, but when do I do that? Finally, I have the extenders mapped through the TCP plugin for remote control. If I have the new instance assume the IP address of the old one, will I run into any problems? Thanks, everyone!
