Server crashing corrupt wiz.bin?
My server started crashing seemingly out of nowhere. Windows logs say it is a it is a tssplitter.ax error. I searched the forums but didn't find much that seemed to point to any error there. The service will start for about a minute and fail. I decided to try to remove the wiz.bin and so far the service is still running. However, as you know I lose some of my stuff. I've tried to restore old wiz.bin files from backups but the service still crashes. If I attempt to cut my loses and start over it appears that the tuners are not quite right with the new wiz.bin either so I'm a little stuck. Thanks.

Well check that. It crashes eventually with the new wiz.bin. I was able to get in the UI long enough to turn on debugging though. I changed back to the original wiz.bin and will update once it crashes.

I would guess you have a bad file on your unRAID server in an import path.
The last file processed was: Code:
\\tower\disk3\TV\TV\Sesame Street\Sesame Street-(Big Bird Breaks Elmo's Tricycle)-2008-05-28-0.tp Try removing import directories until you find the one that lets you boot. Then move some files out of that import directory until it boots and keep doing that until you narrow it down to the (hopefully anyway) single file that is causing the problem. Then re-record/re-rip the file again.

By the time you replied I had restarted the service and let it run all night. It looks like the in-laws tried to watch TV and it crashed again. Any ideas?

So I gave up on recovery. I'm starting to think maybe bad hardware? Now I'm trying to reinstall sage and it is throwing this error before I can get to scan the channels http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...ject+requested
I was able to mess around until I got it to start scanning but after about 10 minutes the service crashed again. I didn't have logging on but now I do and will try again. I will add that the HD-PVR seems to be working so maybe it is an issue with the cable splitter? |

WinTV looks OK to me.
Now in Sage I have a HVR-1600 that made it through the channel scan but in the preview mode the video is not centered? I just tried to scan with a 2250 but it crashed. I'm not sure what is going on. Code:

I uninstalled all the drivers using the Hauppauge utility, uninstalled Sage, deleted the directory, reloaded the drivers, reinstalled Sage and still getting an error message on channel scan. "There was a null object requested to playback."
