Directv H25

I am thinking about going to directv and the h25 stb. I do not understand the serial tuning process thru the sub. I used to have h24 and used the Ethernet http tuning. That is no longer available on the h25. Any detailed help would be great.

Thanks

I don't have the details at hand, but it has been covered here before. Basically, you get two DB9 serial to usb adapters, and connect the serial connectors with a "null modem" cable. So you have usb from your computer to usb into the stb.
Both think they are communicating with the old serial protocol. Actually works and is rock solid stable.
