Problem with service stopping

Recently I have been having problems with my SageTV service stopping on my server whenever I try to run a client on another computer. I have tried running the client on at least 3 different computers with the same result. I am running the original version of Java that comes with SageTV 7 on the server and on the client machines so I don't think it's related to Java.

In order to get the service back up and running I have to uninstall SageTV and Java and reinstall both which is a pain.

I have very few plugins installed. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can try to fix the issue?

Thanks.

Could it be a license conflict? Are you using the same license for both the server and client?

Thanks for responding Tiki. I'm definitely using different licenses for both the server and the client. Is there anything else that I could check?

I had the same issue recently, I enabled debug logging on the server (edit Sage.properties, find debug=false and change it to debug=true, then re-start the service).
This produced a debug log file in the Sage folder called sagetv_0.txt, I was then able to look in here to find my problem, which was that it was trying to bind a duplicate port number, I think it may be related to the TCP services plugin, but I haven't looked into it since.
I searched through the Sage.properties file and removed the duplicate entries and the service started fine and has been running fine since, though I haven't attempted to connect the same client again.

Thanks Bagal I'll give that a try to see what I can find. It may have to wait until the weekend and I'll post what I find out.

The debug logging pointed to a problem with SageTCPServer, one of the plugins that I forgot I had installed a long time ago. Once I removed the plugin everything worked fine. Thank you very much Bagal for your help with this.
