HELP! gentuner stopped working properly?!

I thought my ir blaster wasn't working properly for a few days now, but after successfully testing by manually running the gentuner script I've found it's how SageTV is using it...somehow...

If I manually run

./gentuner SEND blaster 7
./gentuner SEND blaster 0
./gentuner SEND blaster 1

It works fine (yes, my remote is called "blaster" -- it's on my Hauppage HDPVR).

If I have Sage tune the channel I get no joy -- the gentuner.log shows that it's successfully finding the remote and asking for RemoteKeys, but it never actually sends the button presses

I've restarted several times -- I actually corrupted my Wiz.bin on the first restart, which is really annoying ...

any thoughts?

I have recompiled the gentuner .so plugin with debug statements, and it appears to never be calling the PlayCommand section.

Anyway, I found the original exttuner and modified the config file to call a wrapper where I explicitly call working commands in irsend and it's "working" for now -- but I hate not knowing what happened

I wonder if it was an update to irsend that I did not notice ?

Is there anything after this in the gentuner.log file:

What happens when you run this command manually:

 /opt/sagetv/server/gentuner KEYS blaster

Can you post the gentuner script you are using?
