How do you deal with bad EPG data

There is now a TV show on Disney Jr called Sheriff Callie's Wild West. In the EPG it shows up with a genre of either Entertainment or Western. It should show up as Animated, Children or Family. Is there any way of fixing this other than manually changing the metadata for each show?

This screws up my menus as I have a Kids TV menu item and these shows don't show up in that menu as they fail the genre filter.

You cannot always rely on the EPG having the correct Genre ... what I did was setup everyones favorites with a user category. What you can do is add a user category to that favorite and include it in your filter.

If you use the sdepg plugin for your data, you can write a filter that modifies the program's metadata before it gets inserted into wiz.bin. That's probably the the best you can do. Alternatively, you beg Tribune to fix their listings, which is hit & miss at best.

I guess I could also run an SJQ cron job every day and check to see if the show(s) have Children in the genre, and add it if it isn't there.
