Here are some shots, The main screen shot is only missing Tasks and Tv from the shot, all other was removed with toolbox. Tv is needed only for the Guide and manual recording. I haven't put much time in to this, so for those with more patience than I have can do a lot better I am sure.

Media Browser and TotalMedia Theatre have their own sits with many screen shots. Media browser has many plugin's as well. They also have a download/forum section where you can find many icons.

I used reset toolbox to edit the menu names as well. For example TotalMedia also included Arcsoft in the name. The menu text colors can be changed as well I didn't really put much time into that one as you can see.

EDIT: I should add that on the guide you can remove name or the channel number and only have the icon if you wanted.

Thank you. That addon list is very helpful.

Perhaps you may find this helpful should you need to use WMC.

Media Center Themer - let you change the background and color of text etc.
This one does not work with the Echo, only the Main HTPC and the 360.

MCE7 Reset Toolbox - this also lets you change pre packages themes along with editing the menus and guide setup. This really lets you clean up the menus and get rid of the useless ones. - theming doesn't work on the Echo.

My Channel Logos - adds channel logos to the guide and lets you edit the space around them

Recorded TV HD - makes managing and view series make sense, also adds fan art automatically.

Media Browser 3 - Like MyMovies, a great way to manage and watch all of your ripped content.

TotalMedia Theater - An excellent external player, but also brings Blu-Rays to WMC.

I almost forgot TunerSlad- lets you over ride the four tuner (of the same type ) limit in MCE, SO I can use all of both of my HDHR Primes six tuners.

And since I have the HTPC on 24/7 and located in my HT, a decent case with an LCD option that look's like an AVR, Here.

I should mention that for remote control you can use RemotePotato or Ceton's My Media Center, which is what I use.

Sure, there is more with a little digging. There is even a weather plug-in around some where and an IP plugin for HA control as well.

Just remember I am not saying WMC is better than Sage, it's just a good option for those of us who can't use Sage any longer.

My bad; you can drop up to a 3TB drive into any of the Roamios and the TiVo will automatically set it up. So if you don't need the 6 tuners, you could get a cheaper model and give it the capacity of the Pro with no trouble.

Right now, TiVo offers a USB expander drive that adds 1 TB to your capacity. The downside for some users is that complete programs don't save to the drive; TiVo splits programs between the USB drive and the main as an anti-piracy measure. But again: I haven't made my own DVDs of anything in years, so that wasn't a dealbreaker for me.

My Sage server was 4.5 TB, and I never got up to more than 2 TB used in 3.5 years. So the Roamio met my personal capacity requirements. Further, I figured that if I need more space, I could get a cheaper model and stick it on another TV; any TiVos on the same account and LAN can stream / DL programming to each other, leading to a defacto space expansion.

I seem to remember that even through you can upgrade the drive, you still lose all the recordings if the Tivo fails. I think the drives are linked to the specific box in some way.

Could be wrong though.

That's definitely how they used to be, even the DirecTivos. The first time that happened, I dumped Tivo forever.

Amen to that!

Question: Can the Echo do anything better than an xbox 360?

BTW: I'm running most of the same items as Skybolt - RecordedTV HD is a must. But for me, I picked a built in theme that most reminded me of SageTV 7. I'm going to be checking out the one that rips out the useless menus! Thanks Skybolt. I was totally unable to get WMC to run reliably on a VM so I have a dedicated HTPC in the basement. I'm also using MCEBuddy to convert files to a format that can be played Via Plex or Media Browser 3 remotely.

*sigh* I miss sageTV ...

Sorry to hear that. I have been running in a VM for ~2yrs now, and it's operated by teenagers via their 360's. They like the 360 because of the streaming options as well. No issues at all. I only wish the One supported MC and I would only use the VM.

I wonder what took me so long to completely switch .

MCEBUDDY is definitely a tool very USEFUL with WMC. I am able to move recordings around To a Shared Nas and all my clients point to it... Metadata and all works on clients no need for extra software.... I also move my DRM protected files to a local none shared folder so other Clients cannot see them.

RecordedTV HD is a welcomed addition.

All of my channels are DRM, so MCEBuddy doesn't really help me any more.

Yeah without RecordedTV HD, MCE is horrible
Have you tried MediaBrowser 3 yet, nice changes - They also have a Roku client as well that supports direct folder rips.

Yeah MediaBrowser is great I am watching live TV on my Roku through it. So a great Client for wmc. unprotected content.

Not sure if you have tried it, but with the Roku, it actually transcodes the DVD folder format as well with very low CPU loading. I haven't tried the BD folder structure as yet though.
