can't download plugins - Server issues?

From within Sage I can't download plugins... get a timeout error. I can download directly in my browser so I know it's not the source.

Part of the Server upgrades?

Question No Plugins Available

Hi,

I am moving Sage to a new computer. I installed Sage and when I go to the plugins menu item, it says "There are no available plugins of type 'All'".

Could this be caused by the fact that I have not configured any video sources yet?

Suggestions?

Thanks,
John

Nope it is probably a problem with the Plugin Website.

Similar to this.

Also, please check whether you have the plugin's filter (Updated Only:Yes) active by pressing the option button and disabling any filter.

Hope this helps

Never knew that option was there. But I checked and it is set to "NO".

Thanks,
John

Make sure you have the SageTVPlugins.xml in the SageTV folder if you do not then there is a problem downloading it. You could copy it over from your previous Installation in a pinch.

That is missing, but I found another problem. I entered my license key and it was accepted. But when I record and view files, it still says that it is a 15 day trial version.

I think something is wrong with the SageTV Web Site services.

Thanks,
John

SggeTV Web services will mot affect your keys unless you are using Linux. Maybe you have a Sage 6 license and need the executables that will make Sagetv 7 work with Sage 6 key

It is a V7 license, but I loaded copies the EXE files that would allow a version 5 or 6 license to work.

Just not my weekend.

Thanks,
John

Everything seems to be working on the new server. All the plugins are available and it accepted 2nd server license.

I am going to blame it on Freaky Friday and Strange Saturday.

Thanks for all of the help!!!
John

I had the same problem, but it seems to have cleared.

Sagetv Mobile Web Not available in Plugins?

I had to redo my entire server a week ago. When trying to download the SageTV Mobile Web Interface I get an error. This has gone on since the server upgrade. Most of the plugins I can downloand, but there are a few that wont and this is one of them. Is there an alternative or fix?

Some plugins are hosted on DropBox... and it would appear that DropBox has changed something recently (since we now sagetv hasn't changed recently), and some of these plugins fail to download because DropBox is incorrectly handling http range headers.

I've opened a ticket with DropBox, providing them the necessary information. Sadly they don't appear to be very responsive. The alternate for you might be to manually install the mobile web plugin using this tool (i wrote it some time ago).

https://github.com/stuckless/sagetv-...dater/releases

If you run this (as the same user as your sagetv user), and then find the mobile web plugin, and click update/install (not sure of the buttons), it will download and extract the plugin for you.
