HDHR4(HDTC4)-CC/US - MPEG-4/H.264 Encoded Channels

Does anyone know if SageTV will support TV channels that are encoded w/ MPEG-4/H.264 instead of MPEG-2? There are some forthcoming Silicondust products (cable and ATSC tuners) that perform hardware transcoding of content to MPEG-4.

I know that I can play back MPEG-4 content in an .mkv or other containers on my media extenders but I'm not sure if TV channels are handled differently.
