HELP, no audio on colossus with component input

I reently got an hd24-700 directv receiver, and i cannot get the collosus to capture audio from the rca output on the receiver. When I use showbiz, i can capture off component with rca audio no problem. when I go into sage, and setup a new source, I choose component (not component + spdif) and i get video, but no audio. The hd24-700 does not have an spdif out, so I have to get the rca optical out working. I have searched high and low for someone having the same problem, but I cannot locate a single thread where someone has this issue. Please help.

Edit: I have no audio whatsoever in sagetv with the collosus or hdpvr2. when I open the showbiz app and capture, everything works perfect. I have no idea what the problem is, but I think something in my sage config is messed up.

If you need optical you're going to need a coax digital to optical digital converter.

Lots of them are available - I think I've seen them on Amazon.
