How to IR control two Colossus cards - suggestions?

I just built a new SageTV 7 machine with two Colossus cards and two component video connected Rogers Cable digital boxes. I am controlling one of them with my existing USB-UIRT.
The question is, how to control the other one? Should I use the supplied IR blaster or use another USB-UIRT (I already ordered the second one)?
Is STV 7 capable of using two USB-UIRT without the trickery described in older posts on this topic?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Frank

Hauppauge cards traditionally have only been able to support talking to one IR receiver. Additional cards have not been able to utilize either the same IR or a 2nd IR receiver. First card in talks to the IR receiver and additional cards cannot.

Right. I misread the question. You can have a single USB-UIRT control up to 3 set top boxes. It is multi-zone support for newer USB-UIRT.

Multi Zone support

I understand. But can I actually have two USB-UIRT each controlling its own STB?

Thanks

Yes, you can if you want - but a second emitter is going to be cheaper than a whole new USB-UIRT.
