HDPVR having trouble with drivers Win 7

I've got a weird situation. Yesterday I installed my HDPVR with no issues. Device manager showed the HDPVR. I think since then I may have installed some other related Arcsoft programs.

Today, when I turn on the HDPVR, the device manager momentarily shows the device and then it disappears and then on the front of the HDPVR all 3 LEDs stay lit. If I unplug everything and start again, the same behavior.

If I attach the HDPVR to another computer all is fine. So that's telling me that something is corrupt with the driver installation. Since the device shows in the device manager for a quick moment, there's no way for me to remove the device so that I can start again. So what I'm trying to figure out is how do I remove whatever I need to, from my Win 7 machine, so that I can start from the beginning with this installation.

I'm baffled. Any help would be appreciated.

Ron

Have you tried to uninstall with the Hauppauge removal tool - sorry at work and don't remember name. Also a paid option is Driver Magician - as you can use that to uninstall drivers for devices that are not connected.

Thanks. I'll look for that tool. I've not tried it.
