Gemstone and Java Heap Monitor OSD

Any known issues with the JHM?

I had re installed Sage to give Gemstsone a clean slate to work with, only installing a few favorite plugins before Gemstone. The JHM is one of these. After installing Gemstone I noticed the JHM climbing fast and was hitting max, then it would disappear from the screen leaving just a square block. On re starts of Sage it would reappear for a time, but presently it has gone completely from the screen. This is using my HD300. On my HD200 which does not have Gemstone enabled (still has the Gemstone selection on the main menu) it has a square block where green/red meter would be. Disabling JHM made the block go away, only to reappear after enabling JHM again. The client on the server also has the Gemstone selection on the main menu (not enabled), but it does show the JHM displaying properly.

The heap is set to 1024.

Whew, sorry so long....

Any ideas?

Bobby

Seems to work fine for me. We also have a JHM Widget (see attached).

I forgot about the widget. Just enabled it and it's showing good numbers. Still no bar at the top of the screen on my Extenders though. It's not a big deal. I've gotten so used to checking that spot to monitor things that it's absence has been throwing me off. The widget will do just fine. I'm just wondering if anybody else is having the same issue.

Thanks for the quick reply!!!

Just wanted to document this a bit more... Seems to be happening on my extenders only. Weirdly, the bar meter shows up fine in the mornings (first start of the day), but disappears after I dive into a couple of menus. The JHM widget is working fine. I tried power cycling the extenders and they are at the latest (beta) firmwares. I realize this may be just my system, but I figured I keep this posted in case anybody else is experiencing the same issue.

I think this is a combination of the quick release I put out when the weather/youtube Sage release was issued (as I may have broken something related to the header then) and a small incompatibility with the JHM plugin.

But I think both have been fixed in the next release so stay tuned....

If so, that would be great.

Thanks.

I noticed the JHM and weather info on the top bar for my HD300 is MIA again on the main and second levels. They re-appear on the third levels. I tried rebooting PC and HD300. Gemstone is 4.0194. Java is version 7. The post for release 4.0194 says to post the issues to the google code site. I hesitate to do so until I know it's not just me or something I've done incorrectly.
