Free PowerDVD 10 Upgrade
Cyberlink seems a little desperate to get people off of some older versions of PowerDVD. Yesterday I opened my PowerDVD 8 to play a DVD and just for giggles clicked on the upgrade box that comes up all the time. This time it opened a web page that was beckoning me to upgrade to PowerDVD 12. It was also offering a free upgrade to what I thought was a new patch. It turned out to be a free upgrade to PowerDVD 10. It works just the same.
Really kind of interesting since having PowerDVD 10 reduces the cost of of upgrading to PowerDVD 12 by about $40. From $82 to $42. Seems like they're trying to get people to upgrade to the latest version by reducing the cost of upgrade. Not sure I plan on upgrading though.
