Comcast San Mateo, CA: Copy Freely?
Does anyone know how Comcast San Mateo (CA) sets the Copy Control Information flags on their digital streams? And whether or not they're going to be changing them as of 12/5/2012 when they ditch all of their analog service?
I tried calling Comcast, but after 45 minutes on the phone -- and ultimately being disconnected -- the most complete answer I got was "hmmm, I think I've heard of that stuff, but I'm not sure". And that included a conversation with a technical support supervisor. |

I believe there policy is to be copy freely all channels but premium channels (HBO, Showtime, ETC...) I know here in Pittsburgh I can view all regular channels I subscribe too with no problem. I looked at the listing on www.missingremote.com but your area was not listed.
