Sage Service won't start

I have been using sage for many many years and have been running 7 since it came out.
About 2 months ago my ssd (boot) drive died and I replaced it with a new one.
Everything was working fine until last night during a show, the video froze. (this is on a client pc).
I quit and restarted my client app and said something like no tuners found.
I went to the server and rebooted it and the service didn't start.
I brought up the SageTV Service Control and the "Use SageTV Service" was on, but the "SageTV Service State" was Stopped.
When I click start, I get the following Error message
"The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion."
I did more reboots, re-installed Sage, uninstalled and re-installed Java, and I still get the same error.
Is there anything else that I can try without re-installing windows?
Has anybody else seen a problem like this?

Check that all your drives are still working. I had a bad hard drive recently and the service would stop almost right away when trying to scan it on startup.

Did you stop and disable the service when you installed Java? I had symptoms like you described when I updated Java without stopping the SageTV Service.

I had this issue, my service was using the system account. When I logged in as administrator it would not load. The second I changed the service acccount to administrator i think it shows .administrator but anyway it worked.
