How to pick up Doctor Who (2005) correctly?

I continue to love Sage and BMT. Thanks for all the work!

I also continue to try to get my library working well. The only issue I seem to have left is the Doctor Who (2005) series. On TVdb, it is searched as Doctor Who (2005), so I name the filed Doctor Who (2005) S07E01 for example. I can't get BMT to pick these up.

I can enter the season and episode manually with no problems. Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Mike

TV with years is certainly a deficiency in BMT. You might have some success with using the MediaTitles.xml to force BMT to see Doctor Who (2005) to map to the correct tvdb item.

Stuckless,

When I search Doctor Who (2005) on tvdb, the title bar shows ID=78804, which I assume is the series ID. So would my mediatitles.xml file simply look like below, or are you saying I should remove the (2005) in my file naming and just rely on the series ID?

Mike

<titles>
<match>
<regex>[\\/]Doctor Who.*</regex>
<title>Doctor Who (2005)</title>
<year>2005</year>
<metadata type="tv" name="tvdb">78804</metadata>
</match>

well, the clip you posted is not quite well formatted, ie, it's missing the ending </titles>

But yeah, that looks correct.

As for the filename, adding the year to the filename will not help, since bmt doesn't look at the year for TV lookups (ie, it's a missing feature).

Cortopassi - did you settle this? I am facing this now. And since I have older, pre 2005 Doctor Who as well, I am not sure how to handle this part of it.

It did seem to work. I tested it on a few files and after whatever the normal refresh/update cycle time was, they came in with the correct art and descriptions.
