HVR-2250 flexibility

So the HVF-2250 can record two streams of any combination NTSC/ATSC.

Is sage flexible enough to know this, so that I can setup by the NTSC and ATSC channel lineups and it will use the appropriate encoder at the appropriate time?

In other words, can sage utilize this tuner and depending on the recording schedule record 2 NTSC shows once, then 1NTSC and 1 ATSC at a later time, and finish up with 2 ATSC shows?

Or do I have to choose and just setup two tuners?

I hope the question is understandable,
dave

Yes. The 2250 has two tuners, but when you set them up in SageTV each tuner has two entries, one analog and one digital. SageTV manages which of those two entries it utilizes based on what it knows about the channel that you have selected to record. It all works seamlessly.
