Long Pauses on skip forward and backward
Recently changed my setup from WinXP to Win7 w/SageTV7. I changed the audio path from a discrete audio card X-Fi, to HDMI feed to external processor. Use FFDSHOW for audio. Also changed my video codecs on this build.
Fast forward and rewinds were instantaneous on my old build. Now I get long pauses with "the circle" when skipping forward and backward. Combined with the fact that it takes 1.5-2 seconds for my processor to resync and play audio, the overall experience is most irritating. Hoping someone can share any experience here before I start a long weekend of codec mangling/testing.
