Client suddenly won't find server!?
I have two clients, one suddenly is unable to find the server. THe other client has no problem, and is working fine. The ip is listed correctly in the client properties file. I didn't change anything, it just stopped working properly on its own. Tried reinstalling the client with no improvement.
Any ideas? Bob |

I'm having a similar problem where a client that has worked fine for years is all of sudden disconnecting frequently from the server.
All of my extenders are working fine though. If I discover anything during my troubleshooting I will let you know.

I used to have this problem before I went to all fixed IP addresses on my network.
Try deleting the server listed in the "Property" file and select the server on restart. Verify that the computers can see and share between each other.

This happened to me recently and when I went to check my servers, it was like I never set them up. I had to start from scratch and enter a user and password.I didn't install anything so I don't know how this happened.

Microsoft patch Tuesday?
Just an observation, this sounds like symptoms resulting from the unintended impact of a recent security patch from Microsoft's updates.
Good luck on figuring that out, if it is that.
