Suddenly lost audio in Sage client

Hi All,

My Sage client suddenly got sick. When I try to play a video (any video) I get picture but no sound. Also, it forces Vistas color scheme to change to basic mode, and it stays there till I close Sage Client. The videos I am trying to run work fine on the Sage server and in VLC on this computer so the videos are fine.

I have been in the process of switching tuners (WinTV 500 to HDHR). Had a few false starts but this last attempt seems to have worked. I don't think the two are related since it was done on the Sage server. I did install the HDHR software on here but it still worked after I did that. I tried the 'repair' and 'uninstall and reinstall' but it is still broken.

Any ideas why it would suddenly break? It has worked great up till now.

The server in on an XP 32 box and I am running the client on a Vista 64.

If you installed something on the client then you may have changed the default decoder, assuming you are using default? The last decoder to be installed will usually become the default.

Bingo, just kept changing the setting till one finally worked. Back in business.
