HD300 has begun to downmix AAC?!

I have had my HD300 running in extender mode for a year now. The box is connected to my surround system via the SPDIF-link (and digital bitstream) which has worked perfectly.

Today I noticed that for movies where the sound is AAC-encoded the HD300 now downmixes the sound to stereo. Dolby digital on the other hand is still sent and received in surround.

I haven't changed/touched anything in my setup. Can someone tell me why this has happened and how i get back to getting full surround from my AAC encoded movies?

The only thing i can come up with is that I have recently updated to the newest STV-version.

You can try looking in your server sagetv/clients folder in your HD300 properties and see if you see this line miniclient/disabled_audio_codecs=
Then just delete it.

Don't know his that would have happened though. Unless you physically changed it.

The line was in the config file without anything after the "=".

I stopped the sagetv-service, deleted the line, saved the file, started the service and booted up the HD300. AAC 5.1 sound is still downmixed to stereo

I afterwards checked the config file again to find that the line was readded.

Thx for the try. Any other ideas?
