I think it's just we can't think of anything more to improve on (kidding)

It's not dead, yet. Although right now, there's very little development activity. We are taking a break as we focus on some other things, such as work, family and other projects.

Sounds like a scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

So is the official logo for Phoenix a Parrot?

Given the movie reference above I think a rabbit would be more appropriate, "the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on! "

I guess if I still wanted to stay with the bird theme... and include a subtle reference to the movie, then we should have used a sparrow for the logo

Would that be a European or an African Swallow?

Unladen, of course.

Considering the subject, and not the venue of the original reference, I'd say it'd still need to be the Parrot instead of a rabbit or sparrow.

Now I know how old you guys are. Some 20 year old's that I have to train wouldn't have a clue what you guys are talking about. Monty Python? What kind of snake is that?

It is very quiet around here, but there is a new UI coming out called Gemstone, and the PlayOn plugin was just updated.

Phoenix isn't dead, but we aren't working on it currently. I suspect at some point we'll pick it up again, but right now it's meeting all my needs.
