Can't load Phoenix on Win7 server
hi guys
I've started planning a server upgrade, so I'm testing win7 with Sage 7.1.9 on an old (but not that old) Tecra M5 laptop. New OS install Win7 Ultimate Direct install of 7.1.9 Installed Phoenix & BMT plugins. When I choose the Phoenix.xml to change to that STV I get the spinning circle. The laptop has 2GB memory so I increased the Java heap to 1024MB (then down to 768MB) and it made no difference. Turned on logging and all I see is the 'Hang detected' error message, nothing in the Phoenix log That was on the laptop itself but when I pointed a HD200 at this server, it had the same problem I suspect this might be some quirk of Win7 as I'm new to it Any ideas ? Thanks

You might have run into a lingering issue with version 409.
Try reading the last few post in the following thread and see if that fix works for you: http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...t=57612&page=3 |

Thanks for that - looks like a likely cause. I will try 408 and report back. I managed to install plugins on v6

I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and Phoenix with no real issues. The only problem is that the sage client crashes when I try to watch live TV on the server PC. But I almost never do that, so I haven't gone to the trouble of tracking down the issue.
And, this happens using the Sage STV too, so it's not a Phoenix problem. |

I have excatly the same issue. It's on a completely fresh Windows 7 with SageTV 7. Phoenix is the first and only plugin I selected. I cannot get past this spinning circle... Do I really have to downgrade manually?!? Thanks Eyk

I've never had this issue -- I'm just repeating what was in the other thread. But my understanding is that all you have to do is download the zip file, place it in your SageTV home directory, and extract the Phoenix.xml, and put it in place of the version 409 file.
