PVR-150 + S-Video + IR Blaster?

Hi all,

I have a Hauppauge PVR-150 and just recently acquired a PVR from Time Warner, the DCX3400.

I'd like to hook up the STB to the PVR-150 via S-Video for a better quality picture.

HOWEVER -- When I go into the Setup Wizard, here's what I get:

"Please select the input" >> S-Video >> {Continue}
"Please select a tuning option" >> Use external Cable receiver >> {Continue}

But then my only three options are USB-UIRT Transceiver, DirecTV Serial Control, and ACTiSYS IR200L. What I'd **LIKE** to use is the blaster functionality of the PVR-150, which I CAN use if it takes the coax output.

Is there a way to do this, even if using external software as some sort of bridge? I was going to give the LM Gestion software a try but I don't even know where to start.

I've done pretty extensive searches but so far, no direct hit. Unless I'm not good with Google.

Any help would be utterly fantastic. I'm pretty close to getting everything "just right."

Cheers!

Do you have the Hauppauge IR blaster software installed?

I just un-and-reinstalled it, from the most recent version on the internet via Hauppauge's website: CD v4.6b. The driver is working, but it seems the IR works in the IRConfig app ONLY

I only have one option for a code, 0083, and that DOES turn the box on and off and allow me to send test channel changes but ONLY in the IRConfig app. Hmm.

Using Win7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit if that is at all helpful. Perfectly willing to go to 32-bit if that will be helpful. I'm only going to use this machine as a headless server, and view the output either through the local network or through AppleTV 2's, which work great with XBMC.

I'm pretty sure it's a software problem. But which software?

Thanks for your help.
