Channel tuning problems with version 7
I am hoping someone could help me. I have been running version 6 for a few years and upgraded to version 7 about a year ago. I have been running Sage on my main PC and have been using the MVP extenders. I upgrade to running Sage Server on a desktop PC and I am now running 2 clients at two different TVs. The problem I am having is that now that I have upgraded my system the channel changing, to watch live TV and also scheduled recordings, is behaving oddly.
I have three 1650 PVR Cards, one is reciving input from a regular cable line and the other two are recieving inputs from two cable boxes. I am using a USBIRT to control the two set top boxes. Video input for the other two cards come from the boxes and set to channel 3 for both boxes. I am running two different channel lineups. One for the regular cable signal (channels 2 - 79) and the two boxes are running a channel lineup (2- 600). I have verified signals, and ability to control channels, on the boxes coming into sage from all three PVR cards via the channel setup function in the menu. I have also ensured that neither of the boxes are getting IR codes sent to the other box by mistake by securing the IR blaster directly to the box and then placing black tape over to the blaster to ensure no "noise" is seen by the opposite box. The trouble I am having is that when either I change a channel via the program guide from a client or Sage changes channels for a scheduled recording it will sometimes tune the wrong channel. Sage will also change change channels on the same box if commanded to by the two clients. For example I am watching channel 150 on the first client and someone wants to watch channel 160 on the second client the channel changes on both TVs. The same behavior is capture when sage is recording. When I go back to view a scheduled recording I will sometimes see that the channel changed to what I was currently watching. When this happens all 3 inputs are never being used. The last item I am having difficulty with is that if I schedule 3 recordings at the same time (1 for each input) three recordings will appear however at least one of them will be incorrect because sage will have changed the channel on both boxes to the same channel. I have searched high and low on the forums but it appears as though no one else is seeing a problem like this. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Chris |
