Channel Up/Channel Down tuning behavior
I've searched the FAQ and the forums for an answer to this question, but have come up empty. Is there a way to modify the behavior of the Channel UP and Channel Down buttons to not immediately tune a channel? I'd prefer they display the Guide info and only tune after a pause. Would this be something that could be accomplished with a plug-in or is the behavior hardwired? STBs and WMC behave like this and it just makes watching live TV a much nicer experience.

You can switch to guide to see what's going on on other channels. TV will be running and shown in s small frame while looking at the guide. The functionality you described might be an alternative to this and I think I like this idea too.

I think there is a Mini-Guide Plugin that behaves similar to what you describe. Check the available plugins.
