Can the MCE remote "Green Button" launch Sage V7?
Is there a way to configure Sage so the Green Button on an MCE remote can launch sage? I'm using Win7. MCE is turned off. Right now the green button does nothing.

Use eventghost to have the button launch sagetv. It is really easy to do.

Or you can use SageTVLauncher. Go to bottom of this page for description and links:

Mine's working, but I rarely ever close sage on my HTPC so I dont know how well it works. Plus half the time I just double click the sage icon on my desktop.

OK, so I have an MCE remote working with a SageTv Client, but I had to go to Windows 7 to get the drivers to work for the remote. I also disabled the MCE in W7 so the Guide button no longer launches MCE. Next I want to get SageTvLauncher working so that the Green button will launch SageTv if required.
But I'm wondering if I can also close the SageTv Client using the remote? Alternatively, does putting the PC to sleep (Moon button) release the Tuner for other clients? I suspect it does not, but I was too lazy to investigate. |
