HD300 Remote destroyed

Our dog just ate our remote for the HD300 box leaving me completely inoperable. Any suggestions where I can get another? Or what I can do? I can not (that I know of) turn the box on or do anything with the box without the remote. I did a quick ebay search and didn't see any. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

You may want to consider a programmable universal remote, such as one from Harmony or URC, among others.

A USB keyboard may work for the time being.

And, I think the web server plugin allows control of extenders from a browser on a PC.

I'm going to have to reward the dog. I didn't know all these web interfaces existed! Everything has been works well so I haven't even paid attention to what is out there. What an amazing surprise!

The harmony programming tool knows about the HD300 and works just by selecting it. You can also use an another HD100/200/300 remote to program another universal remote..

Thanks,
jeff

The Logitech Harmony 300 starts at around $30 and will control the HD300. I've been testing one on my HD300 for the last few days, plus it should also control any brand TV that you have.

Personally, I prefer the Harmony 700 or Harmony One remotes better but, the 300 does the job just fine.

If you have an Android or iOS device, then you can look into T*SageTV{Remote} too...
