Replacing a HD-PVR

As I mentioned in another thread I have an HD-PVR that has died. I have a second HD-PVR that is still wowking in the system.

I have ordered a new one from Newegg. When the new HD-PVR come is there anything different I have to do or can I just plug it in and it will use the new drivers and Sage will use the existing lineup for the old HD-PVR?

Sage and Windows will both see the new HD-PVR as a new device. Since you already had an HD-PVR, Windows will most likely just see the device and load the existing driver. Or you can load updated drivers if you want.

You'll then have to add the new HD-PVR in Sage. I swapped out my HD-PVR once but don't remember how Sage handled the lineup. I'm not sure if the existing lineup will still be there since you are replacing and not adding to the existing box but, personally, I always just create a new separate lineup for each device anyway.

Make sure you remove the old HD-PVR from Sage (if you haven't already) and make sure you use the new power supply that comes with the HD-PVR.

Otherwise, you shouldn't have to do anything other than plug it into your system and configure Sage and firewire/IR (whatever you use).
