Replacing existing SD recordings with HD?
I see that 6.5 will favor HD recordings over SD. But do we have a way (yet) to re-record existing SD recordings with new HD ones?
In other words, I had all episodes of The Office recorded in SD. Now that I've got HD, I manually record the HD reruns as they come up. Unfortunately the reliability factor (me remembering to record them) isn't that great. The ideal thing would be for Sage to see that I have an existing SD recording, and when an HD version of the same episode comes up, the old SD one gets replaced. Any thoughts?

I haven't tried this, but try limiting the old Fav to SD channel(s) and create a new Fav for the same show that is limited to HD channel(s) & see if the HD versions get scheduled.

That worked - thanks!!! The only caveat is that I had to clear the watched status for all of the SD recordings in order for the HD recordings to get scheduled.
I suppose it could be rectified if a show's watched status could be unique to the HD or SD version. (and if this was a per-favorite setting)
